The most minutes played at a single FIFA World Cup by an individual player is 720 and was first achieved by Gary Lineker, Chris Waddle, Des Walker and Peter Shilton (all England) representing England at the 1990 World Cup in Italy. It was equalled by Javier Mascherano, Ezequiel Garay, Pablo Zabaleta and Sergio Romero (all Argentina) representing Argentina at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Usually the most minutes a player can play at a World Cup is 630 (7 games of 90 minutes) but in the event a game goes to extra time a further 30 minutes are played. The maximum number of minutes a team could play under the current World Cup format is 750 minutes but to date no side has seen all four knockout games go beyond 90 minutes with England (1990) and Argentina (2014) the only sides to play 3 extra time games in a single tournament.
