First YouTube channel to surpass 10 billion views

Just before 7pm on 6 September 2015, all-round internet megastar Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg announced via Twitter that his YouTube channel had surpassed 10 billion views – the first channel to reach the milestone. The Swedish gamer-cum-comedian is well known for his "Let's Play" gaming videos and has been a big supporter of indie videogames, producing videos about Goat Simulator, Five Nights at Freddy's and Surgeon Simulator 2013, to name just a few.

PewDiePie's other Guinness World Records include most subscribers on YouTube and highest-earning gaming contributor to YouTube.
