Highest capacity single-operator ozone generating plant

The highest capacity single-operator ozone generating plant is Bahr El-Baqar Treatment Plant with a capacity of 0.1792 kg (0.395 lb) per second and was achieved by Orascom Construction and The Arab Contractors (Osman Ahmed Osman & Co) (both Egypt), in Sinai Peninsula, Egypt on 23 September 2021.

Bahr El-Baqar Water Treatment Plant, which is also the record holder of the Largest Water Treatment Plant, has built a sustainable ozone generation plant, ozone is a powerful oxidizing and degrading agent, which allows smooth handling of organic loads, and eliminates bacteria, viruses and cysts and controls color, taste, and odor for disinfection and purification purposes.
