Largest attendance at a T20 cricket match

The largest attendance at a T20 cricket match is 101,566 people and was achieved by the Gujarat Cricket Association (India) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, India on 29 May 2022.

In the final match of the TATA IPL 2022 season, the Gujarat Titans won the match and the title after defeating the Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets.

The final match took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the largest cricket ground by seating capacity, it occupies 63 acres (25.5 hectares) of land and boasts 11 cricket strips, 4 changing rooms, 75 corporate boxes, 1 presidential suite and LED lighting instead of traditional floodlights. The total stadium area is 2,38,714 square metres, which is equivalent to 32 Olympic size soccer fields put together! Also, the cricket ground’s sub-soil drainage system enables water to be drained off within 30 minutes from the time it stops raining avoiding cancellation of matches due to wet ground.
