Largest running race series

The largest running race series comprises of 65,762 participants and was achieved by Kalaignar Centenary Marathon - 2023 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, on 6 August 2023.

The record attempt comprised of 3 marathon races; 5 Km, 10 km and 21 km. People from all walks of life and of all ages participated in the race series. There was even an 88 year old man who ran the 10 Km stretch. The chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. M.K. Stalin, was the chief guest at the event.
