The oldest person to cross the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim-to-rim on foot (female) is 75 years 332 days, and was achieved by Karen Doerzaph (USA), in Grand Canyon, Arizona, USA, on 24-26 October 2024.

This was not Karen's first time crossing the Grand Canyon as she has tackled this crossing numerous occasions previously. She successfully crossed the Grand Canyon, covering a total distance of 69.49 km (43.18 mi), in just over 36 hours. A few friends and her husband decided to join Karen on her journey and thus became "Team Karen".

Karen mentions that the beauty of the Grand Canyon is what keeps them coming back, over and over again. To her, it's truly a blessing to be able to do this hike at any age, but appreciates it more the older she gets.
