Most players in a basketball exhibition match

The most players in a basketball exhibition match is 1,498 and was achieved by the Fiesta National del Básquet (Argentina) in Estadio Manu Ginobili in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, from 13 to 15 December 2013. This was one of nine events that made up the 2013 National Basketball Festival which provides free workshops, games and basketball activities to children, players, referees and coaches. The exhibition match is known as “Partido de la Ciudad” with people of all ages taking part. This year the game pitched Whites vs Blues with each player receiving the corresponding jersey to play in. The game was broken down into 30 minute blocks with teams rotating every half hour. Everybody had signed up in advance and received their allotted time to play. Inside the stadium every player had to hand over a copy of their DNI (National ID card) to the two independent witnesses in order to play. The game took place at the Estadio Manu Ginobili named after the 3-time NBA winner who began his basketball career at the local club Bahiense del Norte alongside fellow Olympic Gold medallists Pepe Sanchez and Alejandro Montecchia.
