The fastest time to assemble a six-piece Burr puzzle (Luban lock) is 4.59 seconds, and was achieved by Lim Kai Yi (Malaysia), in Butterworth, Malaysia, on 12 February 2023.

Lim Kai Yi has previously achieved over 60 different GWR titles including the fastest time to solve a 4 x 5 Klotski puzzle blindfolded and the fastest time to complete a Soma cube blindfolded. He is an avid speed solver and has won many competitions. His first win came in a state-level 3x3 competition.
