The longest continuous vehicle drift on ice (electric car) is 14.809 km and was achieved by Wang Zhilong, sponsored by Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co., Ltd. (both China) in Hulun Buir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China, on 11 February 2023

The record attempt was part of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Ice Showdown driving event, which takes place in Huhonol Lake, Hailar in Inner Mongolia. The venue is at 49.3 degrees north latitude, where the lowest temperature is -35 degrees Celsius and the ice on the lake is about 1 meter thick.
